My fiancée and I walk the coast when the weather suits. Camera in hand more out of habit than intention. This particular evening we found ourselves at Howth Harbour as the sun dropped behind the headland. Neither of us expected what came next. The sky turned. The water stilled. The old lighthouse caught the last of the golden light and held it, just long enough.

I almost didn't raise the camera. I'm glad I did.

The lone seagull, the pier stretching into frame, the warm glow sitting in the harbour water. None of it was composed. It simply was. That's what makes this image what it is.

My prints are strictly limited to 200 prints worldwide. Each one is hand signed and numbered, printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, the archival standard used by galleries and museums globally. Every print ships with a signed certificate of authenticity. Once the edition is gone, it is gone permanently.
